As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will help identify new product ideas and operating models, and then design, develop and deliver them. Working together with our operating companies, you will also help foster and support an entrepreneurial culture that will push Veralto to launch new software and data products better, and faster.
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Developer with 6+ years of experience who is hands-on with modern backend, frontend, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate should be comfortable leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, improve quality, and optimize delivery, while working closely with architects and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end full stack applications
- Build robust backend services using Python and/or C# (.NET)
- Develop responsive and scalable frontend applications using React
- Work with Cloud platforms (preferably Azure/AWS) for deployment and integration
- Leverage AI code assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) for:
- Code generation and optimization
- Reviewing and improving code quality
- Accelerating development cycles
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and architecture-ready solutions
- Collaborate with solution architects for design validation and alignment
- Demonstrate developed solutions through effective walkthroughs and presentations
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security, and performance best practices
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of full stack development experience
- Strong programming expertise in:
- Python and/or C# (.NET Core / ASP.NET)
- Solid frontend development experience with: React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
- Experience working with REST APIs and microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Strong understanding of database systems (SQL/NoSQL)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
AI & Development Mindset (Mandatory)
Proven ability to work hands-on with AI coding assistants
Capability to
- Execute and validate AI-generated code & Test cases
- Critically review and refine AI suggestions
- Improve productivity using AI-driven development practices
- Comfort adopting modern engineering practices with AI augmentation
Soft Skills & Expectations
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to convert ambiguous requirements into structured designs
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and architects
- Good communication skills with the ability to demonstrate solutions clearly
- Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Nice to Have
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Exposure to event-driven architectures
- Prior experience in enterprise-scale application development
- Familiarity with design patterns and domain-driven design (DDD)
