Client Solutions Strategist - Pharmacy Revenue Cycle

Job Overview
The Client Solutions Strategist – Pharmacy Revenue Cycle serves as an advanced analyst and client-facing partner responsible for optimizing pharmacy revenue cycle performance across retail, specialty, compounding, and long-term care services. This role combines deep analytical expertise with customer-focused collaboration to support both internal stakeholders and external clients. The Strategist evaluates reimbursement performance, identifies trends, and develops actionable solutions to improve billing accuracy, collections, and overall financial outcomes. In addition, the role builds and maintains relationships with clients, payers, and vendors, providing consultative support and revenue cycle insights to drive operational and financial improvement. This position contributes to scalable, best-in-class pharmacy business office services and supports strategic initiatives, process improvements, and external client engagements.
Responsibilities
- Revenue Cycle Analysis & Optimization - Analyze pharmacy claims, payments, denials, and reimbursement trends to identify root causes and improvement opportunities. - Evaluate payer contracts, reimbursement methodologies, and financial impact to optimize revenue cycle performance. - Reconcile payer remittances (835s), resolve unapplied cash, and address claim exceptions, short-pays, and denials. - Monitor key performance indicators such as AR aging, DSO, and cash application to ensure targets are met. - Develop and deliver reporting on payment variances, denial trends, and financial outcomes.
- Problem Solving & Process Improvement - Identify trends and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and financial performance. - Partner with internal teams to implement workflow improvements and scalable solutions. - Participate in system enhancements, vendor integrations, and process redesign initiatives to support evolving business needs. - Apply critical thinking and data analysis to resolve complex reimbursement challenges.
- - Client & Stakeholder Engagement Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external clients regarding revenue cycle performance and issue resolution. - Build strong relationships with clients, payers (PBMs and health plans), and vendors to facilitate effective communication and resolution of issues. - Communicate complex financial and operational insights in a clear, concise manner to non-technical audiences. - Support client meetings, presentations, and operational reviews, providing data-driven recommendations.
- Consulting & External Support - Provide consultative support to external clients, including assessment of pharmacy revenue cycle performance and identification of improvement opportunities. - Assist in developing client-specific strategies for billing, collections, and accounts receivable optimization. - Support onboarding of new clients or business lines by contributing to workflow design and process implementation. - Participate in and execute external client onboarding, training, and implementation of pharmacy business office services. - Contribute to development of scalable consulting services and external revenue growth initiatives.
- Coordination & Collaboration - Collaborate cross-functionally with pharmacy operations, revenue integrity, finance, and contracting teams. - Coordinate with vendors and third-party partners related to billing systems, reconciliation, and collections. - Participate in payer discussions to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
Required Qualifications
- B.S./B.A. Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, or related field or
- In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree 5 years minimum healthcare or pharmacy experience
- 4 years Healthcare or pharmacy revenue cycle experience, including reimbursement analysis and collections
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Deep understanding of pharmacy revenue cycle workflows, billing, and reimbursement
- Ability to interpret contracts and translate into financial and operational impact
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to clients and leadership
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Proficiency with Excel and reporting tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, PBMs, and commercial payers strongly preferred
- Experience supporting or interacting with external clients or stakeholders
- Experience with pharmacy systems (e.g. - Epic, EnterpriseRx, or similar)
- Pharmacy Technician License strongly preferred

Compensation Disclaimer
The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
