- Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees, and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.
Responsibilities
- The Cat Scan Technologist will be responsible for performing Cat Scan diagnostic imaging and Cat Scan interventional procedures on adult and pediatric patients.
- Prepare patients for scanning.
- Determine appropriate type and dose of contrast to be administered.
- Provide accurate explanations and instructions.
- Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures according to established guidelines.
- Monitor the patient’s physical condition for any adverse reactions during the procedure.
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
•
High School Diploma or GED .
•
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in CT scan.
•
Active and current New Jersey State License—NJDEP Radiologic Technologist.
•
Maintains CEU Credits.
•
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) certification
•
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Applied Science.
Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
