Job description

The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine i s seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Hospitalist to join our experienced, collegial, and supportive Pediatric Hospitalist team. This full-time hospitalist position will provide inpatient pediatric and newborn nursery coverage at UT Health Tyler Hospita l.

About the position

  • 10 -24 Hour shifts per month ( 10 hours in hospital/ 14 hour call at home)
  • Inpatient responsibilities
  • Level 3 NICU with 24/7 in-house coverage and support
  • Identify newborns requiring a higher level of care.
  • Provide routine care for healthy newborns.
  • Manage common neonatal conditions, including hypoglycemia and jaundice.
  • Collaborate with consulting specialists and outpatient providers.
  • Teach and precept medical students and residents.
  • Not expected to attend deliveries

Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellowship preferred but not required.
