Project
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join an engineering team working on cutting-edge high-voltage power electronics products for the rapidly evolving e-mobility sector.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies used in power electronics products, ensuring they meet demanding automotive requirements related to thermal performance, vibration resistance, sealing, reliability and manufacturability. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers and manufacturing partners throughout the entire product development lifecycle—from concept and detailed design to validation and industrialization.
Expected competences and knowledge
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience in mechanical product development and design
- Strong 3D CAD skills (Siemens NX preferred, CATIA or similar tools accepted)
- Good knowledge of GD&T principles
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, sheet metal fabrication and die casting
- Familiarity with DFMEA, DFM and DFA methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good communication skills in English - min. B2 level
- Nice to have :
- Automotive industry experience
- Experience with e-mobility, EV or power electronics products
- Knowledge of FEA/simulation tools such as Ansys
- Experience working in international engineering environments
Responsibilities you’ll have
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for high-voltage power electronics products used in automotive applications
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation using Siemens NX or equivalent CAD tools
- Support the full product development lifecycle, including prototyping, testing, validation, and industrialization activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure designs meet technical, quality, and manufacturing requirements
- Drive engineering changes and continuous product improvements while supporting design reviews and project milestones
