About the Opportunity

Ellucian is looking for a dynamic and experienced Banner Finance Consultant to join our NorthAmerican Professional Services team. In this role, you'll lead the charge in implementing our cutting-edgeadministrative solutions for colleges and universities. You'll be instrumental in consulting with ourcustomers and delivering services that provide the quickest path to institutional success with training,onboarding, and deployment of Banner financial processes. You'll leverage your significant experience inthe areas below to help higher education customers transform into modern campuses, leveragingtechnology and solutions to enable student success. Where you will make an impact • Lead with Influence: Act as a thought leader and key contributor to our Banner Financeimplementations, leading and influencing client teams at all levels.• Advise on Best Practices: Provide advice and guidance on industry best practices forimplementing Banner Finance in the US and abroad, ensuring the solution aligns with institutionalprocesses and academic and business needs.• Smooth Transitions: Support customers in transitioning from their existing finance systems toBanner Finance processes through implementation efforts and ongoing consulting, includingchange management advice.• Analyze and Document: Perform and document business process reviews and analyses of clientbusiness requirements. Gather and document business requirements, discuss adoption ofFinance recommended practices, and brief the implementation team.• Maximize Value: Work collaboratively with clients to derive maximum value from the BannerFinance solution, in conjunction with other Ellucian solutions.• Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with existing Finance consulting resources to supportcontinuous improvement of the consulting practice, refine delivery materials, and participate inteam activities.• Internal Initiatives: Take an active role in identifying, communicating, and advancing internalprocess improvement suggestions and initiatives.• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Participate in Ellucian company-wide cross-departmentalinitiatives as required. What will you bring • Finance Expertise: At least 3-5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, with rolesdemonstrating a deep understanding of Finance and Accounting standards and practices ataccredited higher education institutions.• Consulting Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in a training or consulting context, withexperience in team trainings, system implementation, or other collaborative learning/teachingexperiences.• Banner Finance Experience: Must have experience with Banner Finance.• Effective Communication: Ability to explain solutions to diverse customers and ensure they canuse applications effectively.• Enthusiasm and Energy: A disciplined self-starter with enthusiasm, energy, and a willingness tolearn and adapt quickly.• Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet orexceed deadlines.• Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively and willingly as part of a large, experiencedteam.• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills withcredibility and experience in the subject matter.• Independent and Team Work: Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team.
