Job Requirements
Tech Sales professionals are the primary customer-facing engineers for TEAL. The tech sales team will be responsible for working with the core team to interact closely with customers, translate customer manufacturing requirements into equipment specifications, lead proposal and RFQ responses, and serve as Solution Architects through the pre-sales cycle. Since this is the early stage of the business, this role may extend to completing the product development cycle with the customer.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities across Indian cell manufacturers and battery pack makers, leveraging market research and industry trends to stay ahead of the competition.
- Conduct in-depth technical discovery sessions to understand customer line requirements, throughput capabilities, and quality targets, ensuring a tailored solution that meets their specific needs.
- Take ownership of the proposal, RFQ, and technical specification documentation from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and alignment with customer expectations.
- Collaborate closely with the Product & Engineering team to develop customized solution decks and detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) that showcase the value proposition effectively.
- Provide hands-on support during customer site visits, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept evaluations, showcasing the capabilities and benefits of our solutions.
- Maintain the CRM system meticulously, ensuring data accuracy and providing clear visibility of the sales pipeline to the Business Head for strategic decision-making.
- Stay informed about competitor offerings and market dynamics, continuously updating competitive intelligence to refine our sales strategies and stay ahead in the market.
Work Experience
- Qualification in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics engineering, or related field
- Familiarity with lithium-ion battery manufacturing processes (electrode, assembly, formation) is a plus
- Excellent communication and public speaking abilities; confident in presenting to senior executives
- Openness to frequent travel within India and occasional trips to China/Korea/Japan
- 2–5 years of experience in technical sales or applications engineering within capital equipment or industrial automation
