Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking a Lab Technician for a large pharmaceutical client site located in Rahway, New Jersey. In this role, you will support laboratory operations by collecting and segregating various waste streams in compliance with hazardous waste regulations and assisting with general lab services. Duties include proper handling and documentation of waste materials, responding to ad hoc requests from the Hazardous Waste Manager, and receiving and delivering lab packages. A strong focus on safety, organization, and customer service is essential to ensure the research teams have the resources needed to operate efficiently and effectively. Incentives
This position offers a traditional Business & Industry, Predominately Monday - Friday schedule during the day shift of 7:00 am- 4:00 pm.
What You'll Do
•
Scan, sort, and deliver packages using tracking system, van, carts, or forklifts to labs and admin areas
•
Collect, label, and store hazardous/non-hazardous waste per RCRA and disposal regulations
- Supervise a team of lab service professionals
•
Prepare waste manifests and shipments for hazardous, chemical, and medical waste
•
Replenish dry ice, deliver gases, assist with regulator connections, and manage solvent bunker supplies
•
Support chemical inventory by scanning out empty containers and collecting perishable lab waste
•
Perform safety checks, GMP cleaning, admin tasks, and respond to lab support service requests

What You Bring
- 2+ years of related work experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience leading teams
- Knowledge on the use of computers and programs
- Experience in Lab/Warehouse setting preferred
- Experience in hazardous waste management
