Accounting Manager

Reports To: Business Manager or Director
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of financial statements, adhering to business management policies and procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, budgeting, and cash management.
- Deliver insightful financial analysis, long-term cash flow projections, and P&L reporting solutions.
- Ensure timely client communications through weekly reports and updates.
- Oversee budget creation, shareholder payroll, and 1099 reports.
- Collaborate with management on estate planning, asset purchases, and investments.
- Review the work of Senior Staff Accountants for accuracy and compliance.
- Manage payroll services and associated journal entries.
- Cultivate professional relationships with client Trusted Advisors.
- Prepare annual financial statements for tax purposes.
- Implement operational best practices for efficient financial management.
Additional Responsibilities
- Lead ad hoc projects as required.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing accounting team.
- Ensure team goals are met through motivation, training, and development.
- Provide training and development opportunities for Senior and/or Staff Accountants.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
- Preference for candidates experienced in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
- Strong work ethic and alignment with company culture and values.
- CPA, CFP, or CMA certification required.
- Previous experience managing a staff.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with executive teams.
- Proven track record of outstanding performance.
- Experience in family office, entertainment, or legal firms preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
