Financial Controller
Job description
We are hiring for the position of Financial Controller for a well reputed construction company located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Candidates with prior experience in the C onstruction industry will be preferred. The selected candidates will have to relocate to Jeddah.
The main role of a Financial Controller is to ensure the company's financial health by overseeing all financial planning and analysis activities.
Roles and responsibilities
- Tracking, reporting, and analyzing budget variances.
- Reviewing the company's financial statements to ensure they are accurate.
- Preparing month-end reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Recommending changes in policies or procedures that will improve financial performance.
- Forecasting future financial performance
- Preparing and analyzing budgets
- Providing accurate financial reports to management
- Ensuring compliance with government regulations
- Ensuring accuracy of financial statements
- Overseeing all financial planning and analysis
- Forecasting future performance
- Recommending changes to improve financial performance.
- Utilizing updated technologies for their job
Requirements
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
- 6+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Advanced degree in accounting
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
