Role Requirements
Qualifications and Certifications
•
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience and Skills
•
1-3 years of experience in a similar (security-related) role
•
Knowledge of Information Technology and Application Security
•
Skills in Cybersecurity, Information Security, and Network Security
•
Strong typing and software usage skills (e.g., Diagrams, Excel, Word)
•
Excellent problem-solving & analytical skills
Outputs / Key Performance Areas
- Security Monitoring and Incident Response
•
Monitor security alerts, logs, and system events using SIEM tools
•
Assist with the implementation of additional toolsets
•
Investigate and document security incidents
- Vulnerability Management
•
Support regular vulnerability scans and assessments
•
Track, report, and verify remediation efforts
•
Document vulnerabilities and maintain up-to-date records
- Security Tools and Systems Administration
•
Support configuration and maintenance of endpoint protection, firewalls, and IDS/IPS
•
Assist with managing user access controls in line with policies
- Compliance and Policy Support
•
Assist with audits by providing requested evidence and documentation
•
Help maintain and enforce security policies and procedures
•
Support staff awareness and training initiatives
- Continuous Learning and Development
•
Stay updated with emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices
•
Participate in training, certifications, and knowledge-sharing
•
Contribute to process improvements in security operations
