Looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure APIM Engineer who will possess deep expertise in Azure API Management and modern DevOps practices, with a strong focus on automation, security, performance, and scalable API lifecycle management in a cloud-native environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, deploy, and manage APIs using Azure API Management (APIM)
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for APIM resources
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps , GitHub Actions , or Jenkins
• Configure API security mechanisms including OAuth2, JWT, API Keys, mTLS , and Azure AD authentication
• Set up monitoring and logging using Grafana , Azure Monitor , Application Insights , or ELK Stack
• Apply rate limiting, throttling , and policy enforcement for robust API governance
• Manage Azure networking for API endpoints, including load balancing and traffic management
• Oversee full API lifecycle management, versioning , documentation, and governance
• Automate operations using PowerShell , Bash , and other scripting tools
• Optimize API performance through caching, request routing, and failover strategies

Primary Skills Required

• Azure API Management (APIM) Design, configuration, deployment
• Terraform IaC for APIM and Azure resources
• CI/CD Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions / Jenkins
• API Security OAuth2, JWT, API Keys, mTLS, Azure AD
• Monitoring & Logging Grafana, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, ELK
• Policy Management Rate limiting, throttling in APIM
• Azure Networking Load balancing, traffic routing
• API Lifecycle Versioning, governance, and best practices
• Automation Scripting with PowerShell and Bash
• Performance Optimization Caching, routing, and failover handling

Secondary Skills Required

• Multi-Tenant API Management
• RESTful & GraphQL API Design
• Azure Functions for serverless API execution
• Security & Compliance best practices
• Incident Response & Disaster Recovery planning
• Event-Driven Architecture Azure Service Bus, Event Grid

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in cloud/API engineering roles
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
