About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established and growing construction organization in Northern Indiana, is seeking a Structural Engineer to support new building projects, additions, and renovations.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with architects, designers, and field teams while owning structural analysis and design from concept through construction. Key Responsibilities

Design and analyze structural components for commercial and industrial buildings

Develop structural drawings and details for new construction and renovations

Collaborate with architects to integrate structural integrity with functional design

Perform load calculations and stress analysis

Ensure compliance with local and national building codes and safety standards

Conduct site visits to verify construction aligns with engineering plans

Evaluate materials and recommend optimal construction techniques

Perform risk assessments and mitigate potential structural hazards

Maintain documentation including reports, calculations, and compliance records

Manage timelines and coordinate across multiple active projects

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Structural or Civil Engineering

Minimum 1+ year of structural engineering experience in construction

Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months

Proficiency with structural design and analysis software

Strong knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards

Effective communication skills with clients and internal teams

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
