Job description

Position: Broadcast Manager

As the Broadcast Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our onboard media and entertainment operations. This includes managing a team of broadcast technicians and coordinating with various departments to ensure the smooth operation of our onboard television and radio channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of broadcast technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Oversee the scheduling and programming of onboard television and radio channels, ensuring a diverse and engaging selection of content
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as entertainment and guest services, to develop and implement innovative media and entertainment strategies
  • Monitor and maintain the technical equipment and systems used for broadcasting, ensuring they are in good working condition and meeting industry standards
  • Develop and manage budgets for media and entertainment operations, including equipment purchases and content licensing
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to continuously improve the onboard media and entertainment experience
  • Train and onboard new broadcast technicians, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in broadcast management
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of broadcast equipment and systems
  • Familiarity with content licensing and copyright laws
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience working in the cruise industry is a plus
