Position: Chef De Partie

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and standards set by the Head Chef
• Manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner
• Train and supervise junior chefs, ensuring they adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards
• Ensure all food items are stored, handled, and prepared in accordance with company and industry standards
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition
• Assist in menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and guest preferences
• Collaborate with the Head Chef and other team members to create new and innovative dishes
• Monitor food inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times and provide excellent customer service to guests
• Continuously strive to improve and develop your culinary skills and knowledge

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or similar role in a high-volume kitchen
• Culinary degree or equivalent certification
• In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality dishes
• Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications for working at sea
