Structural Engineer
Job description
Responsibilities
- Designing and supervising the construction of structural framework, foundation, piling and site formation works for Government building projects;
- Advising on maintenance to the structures of existing Government buildings;
- Checking structural submissions;
- Carrying out project management duties.
Requirement
- Corporate Members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Structural or Civil Discipline) elected after 5 December 1975, or equivalent; (Note: For holders of qualifications in the Civil Discipline, experience in structural engineering design and practice is required.) [See Note (A)];
- Have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent. [See Notes (B) & (C)].
