Group QA Manager - Based in Penang

Company Background

We are representing a leading public-listed manufacturer and supplier of various steel products, looking for an Group QA Manager to be based in Penang .

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and managing the Quality Assurance (QA) function across multiple departments or business units within the organization
• Ensuring company's products/ services meet or exceed customer expectations and comply with regulatory requirements
• Develop and implement QA strategies , policies, and procedures to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with regulatory standards
• Lead a team of QA professionals across multiple division or business units, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring as needed
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure QA performance and effectiveness
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement, specifically support technically on Product Certification audit & CIDB inspection
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and regulatory affairs, to drive quality initiatives and resolve quality-related issues
• Lead investigations into quality incidents, deviations, and customer complaints, implementing irreversible corrective actions as necessary
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory requirements and best practices incorporate relevant changes into the Quality Management System
• Drive a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5+ years o f experience in quality assurance , preferably in steel and metal manufacturing background
• Minimum 3 years in a managerial or leadership role
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, including ISO standards, GMP, and other relevant regulations
• Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and achieving results
• Able to speak and write English and Mandarin (due to business nature)
