Legal Counsel - Funds/Investment Management - Taiwan based

Due to expansion, this leading investment management company is hiring an additional legal counsel to be based in Taiwan whose main duties will include:

• Advising business units on all legal and regulatory matters, including offering of registered and unregistered offshore funds in Taiwan, discretionary investment advisory business, investment consultancy/advisory business
• Negotiating contracts, including distribution agreements, investment management agreements and service provider agreements
• Assisting with new fund registration and fund maintenance/regulatory reporting/notification matters
• Advising senior management team on regulatory/legal implications of new business initiatives and ensuring compliance
• Act as the liaison point for interaction with Taiwan regulators

To qualify

• Candidates with 4-8 years' PQE who are working as in-house legal counsel in Taiwan or with experience on Taiwan funds/regulatory work in a reputable Taiwan law firm would be preferred
• Strong English and Chinese language capability is essential
