PUMPNSEAL WANGARA, WA 6065 FITTERS, MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIANS AND ELECTRICIANS SALARY $80K - $100K
PumpNSeal specializes in the supply of premium mechanical engineering products, parts and servicing, for rotating and static equipment, across a range of industrial activities.
We deliver tank to tank solutions that reduce whole of life costs through improved equipment efficiency and reliability, reduced energy consumption and downtime.
We currently have a positions available for Fitters (General), Mechanical Engineering Technicians and Electricians.
Main Responsibilities
Fitters
- Mechanical Expertise: a. Utilize mechanical skills to diagnose, repair, and maintain a diverse range of earthmoving machinery and attachments.
- Hydraulic Systems Installation: a. Install auxiliary hydraulic systems to earthmoving equipment, ensuring functionality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
- Electrical Control Systems: a. Demonstrate proficiency in installing and calibrating electrical control systems and components for various construction machinery.
- Documentation Compliance: a. Pay meticulous attention to installation documents, ensuring accurate and compliant execution of tasks.
- Quality Workmanship: a. Uphold a commitment to detail and quality workmanship, particularly when working on new machines.
- Overtime and Travel: a. Exhibit flexibility in working overtime and being available for travel when necessary to meet project demands.
- Independent Work: a. Work both as a collaborative team member and independently, displaying a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Continuous Learning: a. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt, staying current with industry trends and technological advancements.
Mechanical Engineering Technicians
- Mechanical Expertise: a. Apply mechanical skills to install, diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of earthmoving machinery and attachments.
- Hydraulic Systems Installation: a. Install and troubleshoot auxiliary hydraulic systems on earthmoving equipment, ensuring they meet industry standards for functionality and safety.
- Electrical Control Systems: a. Install, calibrate, and maintain electrical control systems and components for various construction machinery, ensuring proper functionality.
- Documentation Compliance: a. Maintain detailed installation documents and service records, ensuring tasks are performed accurately and in compliance with industry standards.
- Quality Workmanship: a. Commit to high-quality workmanship, focusing on detail and precision, especially when dealing with new machinery.
- Preventative Maintenance: a. Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent equipment breakdowns, optimizing the efficiency and reliability of mechanical systems.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: a. Diagnose and repair mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, ensuring machinery is returned to optimal working condition.
- Parts Management: a. Monitor the availability of parts, replenishing supplies as needed to ensure continuous operation and maintenance readiness.
- Supervision and Training: a. Organize and supervise inspection and maintenance activities, and train co-workers on the safe and efficient use of machinery and equipment.
- Tool and Equipment Selection: a. Select appropriate tools and equipment for tasks, estimating material costs and quantities, and analyzing data to support decision-making.
- Overtime and Travel: a. Demonstrate flexibility in working overtime and traveling when necessary to meet the demands of various projects.
- Continuous Learning: a. Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements, showing a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Electricians
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems and components for various construction machinery.
- Perform wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure compliance with Wiring Rules and other relevant standards.
- Collaborate with mechanical technicians to integrate electrical systems into machinery effectively.
- Adhere to electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards specified by relevant authorities such as Safe Work Australia and state-based regulatory bodies.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to identify and address potential issues.
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns, minimising downtime and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Keep detailed records of electrical work performed, including maintenance schedules and equipment specifications, adhering to ANZSCO documentation standards.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints in accordance with competency standards.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Experience with electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.

Qualifications All Applicants: Suitable certification or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in a similar work environment.
- Preferred - previous experience in hydraulics, including knowledge of hydraulic hose and fittings.

- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent diagnosis and fault-finding abilities.
- Ability to work unsupervised while maintaining high standards.
