We support clients across mining, oil & gas, water treatment, manufacturing and heavy industry throughout Australia. Due to continued growth, we are seeking skilled technical professionals to join our workshop and site-based operations.
We currently have positions available for Fitters (General), Mechanical Engineering Technicians, Electricians and Mechanical Engineers .
- Fitter (General)
Key Duties
Assemble, dismantle, inspect, repair and reassemble industrial pumps, gearboxes, shafts, bearings and mechanical seals.
Diagnose mechanical faults through inspection, measurement and testing.
Interpret technical drawings, specifications and maintenance instructions.
Perform precision fitting, alignment and adjustment of mechanical components.
Cut, thread, bend and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on rotating equipment.
Test completed assemblies and maintain service records.
Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding ability.
Proficiency with hand tools, measuring instruments and workshop machinery.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and work safely in workshop and site environments.
- Mechanical Engineering Technician
Key Duties
Support Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists with installation, testing and improvement of mechanical systems.
Assist with commissioning and testing of pumps, mechanical seals, rotating equipment and associated systems.
Prepare and interpret technical drawings, layouts, diagrams and specifications.
Conduct performance testing, collect and analyse data and prepare technical reports.
Assist with troubleshooting, design modifications and continuous improvement.
Estimate materials, tools and equipment required for mechanical works.
Maintain technical documentation and ensure finished work meets specifications and standards.
Skills
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials and manufacturing processes.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Competence with measuring, testing and diagnostic equipment.
Good analytical, communication and teamwork skills.
- Electrician (General) – Industrial
Key Duties
Install, maintain, test and repair electrical wiring, control systems, motors and switchgear.
Diagnose and rectify faults in industrial equipment and control panels.
Connect and test variable speed drives, motors and instrumentation.
Interpret electrical diagrams, schematics and technical manuals.
Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
Connect electrical systems to power supply and maintain compliance records.
Skills
Strong fault-finding skills in industrial electrical systems.
Knowledge of electrical standards, safety codes and compliance requirements.
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
Experience with motors, drives and industrial control systems.
- Mechanical Engineer
Key Duties
Plan, design, organise and oversee the assembly, commissioning, operation and maintenance of mechanical and process plant, pumping systems, rotating equipment and fluid-handling installations.
Design, develop and improve mechanical systems, equipment and components used in industrial pumping and sealing applications.
Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, calculations and engineering documentation.
Determine materials, equipment, piping, capacities and layouts required for mechanical systems.
Analyse equipment performance, failure reports and test data to recommend engineering solutions.
Develop design modifications, maintenance strategies and process improvements.
Support installation, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, technicians and tradespeople to resolve technical issues.
Prepare technical reports, compliance documentation and project records.
Skills
Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, pumps, seals, bearings, rotating equipment and fluid-handling systems.
Ability to prepare and interpret drawings, specifications and engineering documentation.
Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, quality control and testing methods.
Strong communication skills and understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
Fitter (General)
Relevant trade qualification, such as AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, AQF Certificate IV, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
Experience with pumps, mechanical seals, rotating equipment, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, hydraulic or pneumatic systems highly regarded.
Mechanical Engineering Technician
AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or equivalent relevant experience in mechanical engineering, mechanical systems, manufacturing, testing, installation or maintenance.
Ability to support Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in technical, testing, documentation and installation activities.
Electrician (General)
Relevant electrical trade qualification, such as AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, AQF Certificate IV, or equivalent recognised qualification.
Current Australian electrical licence or registration required.
Industrial electrical experience with motors, drives, control systems, switchgear and instrumentation highly regarded.
Mechanical Engineer
Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
Experience in pumps, rotating equipment, mechanical seals, process plant, fluid-handling systems, commissioning, maintenance or mechanical design highly regarded.
Registration or licensing may be required depending on the nature of engineering work performed.
SALARY $90K to $120K per annum
