Senior Mechanical Engineer

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design new products, provide constructive feedback to development team from manufacturing to quality perspectives.
• Understand thoroughly new product functions, applications & usage, especially high-precision and critical components.
• Review product design for assembly, manufacturing, quality and cost.
• Conduct bench test, verification and validation testing of devices.
• Hands-on in assembly of prototypes, designing and fabrication of jigs & fixtures and disassembly of devices.
• Peform hazard analysis and drive the completion of recommended action.
• Liaise and manage subcontractors; plan, implement, monitor and control product development processes.
• Any others ad-hoc tasks assign by the direct manager.

REQUIREMENTS

• Masters or good Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in design and assembly of highly sophisticated and high precision equipment.
• Experience in machine/equipment design using Solidworks
• Knowledge/experience in medical device and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) is an added advantage:
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Able to interact effectively with all levels of staff, both locally and overseas.
• Systematic approach in problem solving.
