Automotive Electrician
Job description
Summary
This role will be responsible for the major repair and troubleshooting of equipment by providing his technical specializations. He shall also attend all
breakdowns per his immediate superiors instruction. He shall train junior technicians to become specialists through a buddy system. He shall be responsible for assessing recommendations by vendors and service providers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform hydraulic and electrical repairs as well as preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot issues with electrical system of diesel engines, hydraulic and transmission system.
- Determine parts and tools are necessary to make repairs
- Maintain LBE in its optimum condition
- Works and collaborates with LBE operators and other technicians
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Train electrical technicians through a buddy system
- Perform and lead equipment overhauling
- Recondition parts assembly for spare parts availability
- Assist vendors or service providers 's repair or maintenance activities
- Validate vendor's assessment before they recommend
Qualifications
- Experience in Electrical repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of Hydraulic, heavy equipment, trucks, and diesel engine
- Graduate in Automotive Course or any
- Vocational/Technical school
- At least 3 years of technical experience in heavy equipment, mining, construction, hydraulic and transmission system.
- NCII certification is an advantage
