Supply Chain Coordinator East Rand Permanent

A reputable company in the manufacturing sector is looking for an experienced and hands-on Supply Chain Co-ordinator to join their team based on the East Rand

The ideal candidate will take ownership of daily transport planning, yard scheduling, and outbound delivery processes. You'll be responsible for managing transport partners, improving delivery performance, and ensuring goods move on time and within budget. Strong attention to detail, leadership ability and a proactive mindset are essential in this role.

Requirements

• Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field (NQF 7)
• 3 to 5 years experience in a supply chain or transport role, with at least 3 years at a senior level
• Solid understanding of warehousing, transport operations and supply chain processes
• Proficiency in Excel, SAP, and other relevant systems
• Strong communication, problem-solving and reporting skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple moving parts

Key responsibilities include

•

Coordinating vehicle loading and offloading

•

Managing the yard schedule and daily transport planning

•

Tracking and reporting on delivery performance, fuel use, costs, and route efficiency

•

Working with internal teams and service providers to solve delays or delivery issues

•

Ensuring transport documentation is accurate and complete

•

Supporting customer delivery performance and handling any related queries

•

Participating in audits, compliance reporting, and cost control efforts

•

Assisting with budgeting and vendor performance reviews
