Department : Food Beverages
Salary : Basic Rs 20,000 inclusive of 02 Sundays per month

Job Purpose
To be responsible to serve a table according to the standard procedures. To control the cleanliness, condition and completeness of place settings, plates and dishes, tablecloths and napkins on tables.
Key duties
•
Ensure that all company policies, procedures & SOPs are adhered to.
•
Prepare dining area, including all necessary mise-en-place for service.
•
Serve customers in a professional, efficient & courteous manner!
•
Change table linen as required & ensure dirty or damaged linen is counted & exchanged for clean, presentable linen.
•
Demonstrates a commitment to guest services by responding promptly to guests needs.
•
Prepares in advance for the arrival of groups.
•
Ensure that excellent customer service is always delivered.
•
Ensure that all glass wares, cutlery used are clean & polished without any water marks on them and at the same time ensuring that they are undamaged & in a very good condition to be used for guests.
•
Ensure waiter serving stations are adequately stocked with replacement cutlery, linen, or any other requirements.
•
Arrive at work on time and in the correct uniform.
•
Ensure that your hair is neat, and no excess jewellery is worn.
•
Have good personal hygiene.
•
Earrings are to be neat and simple, preferably small earrings
•
Familiarise yourself with the menu and learn how to sell to guests.
•
Be familiar with dietary restrictions, that is to have a knowledge of what they are and what they mean.
- Clear tables to ensure they are cleaned as soon as customers have finished with a n acceptable balance between speed yet allowing customers to finish their meal/drink without feeling rushed.
- Accurate recording food & beverage orders to ensure it is delivered & billed correctly.
- Continuously maintain the highest standards of hygiene within the property •
Any other duties that may be required
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a waiter or in a similar leadership role in a hotel or high-volume restaurant. •
Nc3 would be an advantage
•
Proficient in both written and verbal English and French to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to notice and address customer needs promptly, ensuring accurate order taking and service.
- Strong focus on providing a positive dining experience, handling requests and complaints professionally.
- Maintains a friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic demeanor at all times.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth operation and excellent service delivery.
- Acts in good faith and always prioritizes the best interests of the company.
- Willingness and ability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintains a neat appearance and communicates clearly and politely with guests.
