Territory Manager – New Business Development

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States

Compensation: $250,000

Role Overview

Responsible for growing and managing a new sales territory while maintaining existing customer relationships. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, expanding product reach, and ensuring strong customer satisfaction through regular field engagement and account management.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage customer inquiries, orders, pricing, deliveries, and issue resolution

• Maintain accurate customer and account records

• Conduct regular in-person visits to develop relationships and increase sales

• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the territory

• Expand product usage across existing accounts

• Address customer concerns related to pricing, logistics, and accounts

• Attend trade shows, industry events, and training sessions

• Provide ongoing performance updates and reports to management

• Collaborate with internal teams to support customer success

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales or account management

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

• Ability to prepare reports and deliver client presentations

• Self-driven with strong awareness of market trends

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general business tools

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance

• Willingness to travel up to ~90%

• Ability to work in both field and office settings

• Monthly travel to headquarters for meetings (2–3 days, overnight stay)

• Experience managing large product portfolios and distributor relationships

• Strong organizational and independent working skills

• Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce/Tableau or similar preferred)

• Territory management experience (not team management)
