Position: Plater

Location: Port Talbot, South Wales

PAYE Pay: £1600/week Gross

Hours: 10hr shifts, Mon-Sun

Start Date: 19.06

Duration: 10x shifts

The Role

Our client has a requirement for Platers for a shutdown on Port Talbot for 10x days. The work will involve plate repairs and welding on existing steel plate and channel. Duties will include:

• Using oxyacetylene burning equipment to remove sections of plate
• Setting out, marking and cutting steel plate
• Repairing heat distorted steel plate
• Plate, pipe, channel and bracket repairs
• MMA welding on mild steel plate

Ideally workers will be recently site inducted but inductions can be arranged

Essential Requirements

CCNSG card

Apprenticeship / City & Guilds / NVQ 3

Confined Space Entry certificate

Skills and Attributes Required

Flexible approach and adaptable to changing conditions

Strong team player with the ability to work independently and on own initiative

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
