Honeywell – Des Plaines, IL - We are seeking an office based Lead Chemical Engineer responsible for Schedule A design support. Provides process engineering design expertise. Responsible for leading all aspects of process and project design work for new and existing process units. May provide expert knowledge in a specific technology or group of technologies. Provides technical support to Sales and Service groups. As the successful candidate for this role, you will quickly capture, analyze and apply relevant information to arrive at a broad understanding of problems and optimal solutions. You will deliver the project on time, in accordance with the contractual scope of the project and within target. You will arrange team meetings and promote desired communications between Design Engineers. You will consistently makes sound decisions by distinguishing facts from intuition, and make effective judgement by fully leveraging existing rules, procedures and tools, and stay current with latest industry developments in area of expertise. You’ll find the position will provide guidance to and share knowledge with lower level engineers, and department members, have responsibility for various projects and plans, and help develop best practice. You will understand internal /external customer needs, and show good judgment in what appropriate responses should be to balance between maintaining strong customer working relationships and UOP's business interests. You will demonstrate effective project management and execution skills and lead smaller projects or components of larger projects effectively.

YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelors’ Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Hydroprocessing/hydrconversion
- 3 or more years’ experience with process/project design techniques.
- Ability to travel 10-15%
