Position : Senior Estimator / Quantity Surveyor (Remote)
Salary : Php 100,000 - 175,000 (approx 3,000 - 5,000 NZD)
Working Hours & Conditions : New Zealand Business Hours (40 hrs/ week)

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our estimating team remotely. Working overnight (Philippines time) to align with New Zealand operations, this role enables our estimating team to commence each morning with projects already measured and prepared for review.
OVERVIEW
The Senior Estimator / Quantity Surveyor is responsible for accurately measuring construction drawings, preparing detailed flooring take-offs, compiling pricing schedules and supporting the estimating team in delivering competitive, accurate tenders. The successful candidate will become an integral member of our estimating department, ensuring quotations are prepared efficiently while maintaining the highest level of accuracy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Quantity Surveying
- Review architectural and construction drawings
- Measure floor areas using electronic take-off software
- Identify flooring types and installation requirements
- Calculate material quantities
- Calculate wastage allowances
- Prepare Bills of Quantities
- Review specifications and project documentation
- Identify scope exclusions and inconsistencies
- Assist in preparing tender submissions
- Prepare variation pricing when required
- Review subcontractor pricing where applicable
Estimating
- Produce accurate flooring estimates
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns
- Calculate labour requirements
- Calculate adhesive, accessories and floor preparation requirements
- Review tender documentation
- Assist in pricing commercial construction projects
- Update estimate revisions as drawings change
- Meet tender deadlines
- Maintain estimating databases
Project Documentation
Review and understand
- Architectural plans
- Reflected ceiling plans (where relevant)
- Floor finish plans

- Door schedules
- Finish schedules
- Tender documents
- Scope of Works
- Site instructions
- Addenda
Communication
- Report daily to the Senior Estimator
- Prepare handover notes for completed work
- Identify risks or unclear documentation
- Communicate any assumptions made during pricing
- Participate in Microsoft Teams meetings when required
- Maintain clear records of completed work
Software Experience
Experience with some or all of the following is preferred
- Measure
- Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Teams
- Adobe Acrobat
- HubSpot (desirable)

Applicants should ideally have
· Minimum 5 years' experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor
· Commercial construction estimating experience
· Experience measuring flooring packages (preferred)
· Experience pricing commercial projects
· Experience working remotely
· Strong understanding of construction terminology
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Working Hours
