This position is usually the first impression to the customer entering an APG property. It is essential that you project APG in a professional, friendly, and helpful manner and demonstrate your knowledge of the property and community. Through these skills, you will be able to accomplish your primary function of effectively leasing units and addressing the needs of your residents.
Responsibilities
- Effectively utilize sales skills to achieve and maintain optimum occupancy via leasing of units and renewal of existing leases.
- Greet all prospects and residents with a smile and professional courtesy, and perform property sales presentations both in person and on the telephone.
- Document telephone and walk-in traffic to monitor marketing efforts, and follow up on all prospective residents
- Demonstrate knowledge and consistency in high standards of customer relations and services, and maintain maximum active participation in the success of the Resident Renewal program.
- Maintain overall office, model, and show unit appearance, including daily appearance inspections and touch-ups.
- Contribute to all marketing and leasing-related daily, weekly, and monthly reports, be involved in advertising programs and marketing functions, update the market comparable survey and The Ad Book, and prepare a monthly community newsletter for submission to and approval by the property manager.
- Maintain market involvement on an ongoing basis using internal market research reports, leasing procedures and tools through continuing education or internal training.
- Take service requests and maintain general knowledge of maintenance procedures.
- Assist in inspection of ready units, work overtime including weekends, be flexible in cross-training, assist in all areas of APG's property operations, and perform any duties as requested by Management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be people-oriented, self-motivated, exhibit a positive personality, and be sales-motivated.
- Previous experience in a service/sales-related industry is preferred.
- Must have detailed knowledge of local, state, and federal laws governing tenant/landlord relations and market product knowledge.
