Associate Director - Procurement

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Associate Director – Procurement to lead strategic procurement, sourcing, supplier management, and procurement governance across regional data center projects. This role will oversee procurement strategy, commercial negotiations, contract management, supply chain planning, and vendor performance to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of critical infrastructure, equipment, and services. The successful candidate will work closely with PMO, Engineering, Finance, Commercial, Legal, and project stakeholders to support the successful execution of regional data center projects. Key Responsibilities Procurement Strategy & Governance Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and project requirements. Establish procurement policies, governance frameworks, and best practices across regional projects. Ensure procurement activities comply with corporate policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements. Drive procurement standardization and continuous improvement initiatives. Strategic Sourcing & Commercial Management Lead sourcing strategies for critical infrastructure, equipment, technology, and professional services. Manage supplier selection, commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and contract awards. Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining quality and delivery standards. Support commercial evaluations and procurement planning for large-scale CAPEX projects. Supplier & Contract Management Develop long-term relationships with strategic suppliers and technology partners. Monitor supplier performance, contract compliance, service levels, and delivery commitments. Manage supplier risk, contract renewals, dispute resolution, and performance improvement initiatives. Collaborate with Legal on procurement contracts and commercial terms. Procurement Operations Oversight Oversee procurement activities across multiple project locations. Ensure procurement schedules align with project timelines and operational requirements. Support Procurement Managers and Procurement Executives in resolving procurement issues and escalations. Monitor procurement KPIs, purchasing performance, and supply chain efficiency. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with PMO, Engineering, Technology, Finance, Commercial, Legal, Operations, and Project teams. Support project budgeting, procurement planning, and CAPEX governance. Coordinate procurement activities with regional stakeholders and external vendors. Provide procurement insights and executive reporting to senior management. Risk Management & Compliance Identify procurement, commercial, and supply chain risks. Develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and operational disruptions. Ensure procurement processes support audit readiness, compliance, and governance requirements. Strengthen procurement controls and vendor governance across regional operations. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline. 12–15+ years of procurement and sourcing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong experience in strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier negotiations, and procurement governance. Experience managing procurement for large-scale infrastructure, engineering, construction, technology, or data center projects. Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills. Experience managing regional or multinational procurement operations. Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities. Fluent English communication skills.
