WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Technical Maintenance and Repair Associate will be responsible for performing day-to-day operational tasks related to the maintenance and repair of server racks and hardware at a data centre. As part of a 3PL team providing Value Added Services for a global data centre customer, the associate will ensure smooth operations by conducting component-level repairs and maintaining IT equipment according to the data centers standards and procedures. The role requires both independent work and collaboration with the team to complete tasks efficiently while adhering to all security and compliance guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform component-level repairs on IT equipment, including server racks and related hardware.
  • Follow instructions from the data center system tools to complete tasks based on priority and task type.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of sensitive IT components.
    Identify and report issues with equipment or machines, adhering to the established data center procedures.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment, including the maintenance of the tool to perform the tasks.
  • Navigate the work environment using signage and logic to efficiently complete tasks.
  • Operate confidently both independently and as part of a team to achieve operational goals.
  • Successfully complete regular training courses for new maintenance and repair tasks and apply in daily activities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Knowledge in IT and Hardware environment, e.g. ability to recognize and distinguish between different hardware components.
  • Comfortable understanding instructions provided through the system too, including technical and computer-specific terminology.
  • Ability to perform fine work with precision when handling delicate components within a given period of time
  • Intermediate English skills to effectively understand and follow written and verbal
  • instructions and use of tools that are in English.
  • Confidence in performing tasks independently as well as collaborating effectively in a team.
  • Physical ability to lift and move equipment up to 50lb (23kg) and perform tasks involving frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and pushing/pulling over extended periods.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous experience with computer hardware and basic knowledge of components
  • and their functions.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify when something is not
  • working as intended.
  • Strong fine motor skills and attention to detail in working with small, sensitive
  • hardware components.
  • Rational thinking and the ability to follow logical steps to resolve technical issues.
