Automotive Technician | Grubbs Family of Dealerships

About Us

Grubbs Family of Dealerships is a multi-brand, family-owned automotive group with deep roots across the DFW Metroplex and the state of Texas. We've built our reputation on doing right by our customers and our people - and we're looking for team members who share those values.

We invest in our people, provide real opportunities to grow, and take pride in the experience we deliver to both our customers and our team members. When you join Grubbs, you join a culture built on integrity, professionalism, and continuous improvement. We set a high bar - and we give you the training, tools, and support to clear it.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles to the highest standard. We'll keep you busy, support your growth, and reward your skill - and in return we expect accurate diagnoses, efficient production, and quality work that doesn't come back.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and computer-related issues accurately the first time
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and manufacturer-recommended and recall services to factory specification
  • Complete thorough, honest multi-point inspections and document findings with photos or notes
  • Work efficiently to meet and exceed flag-hour and proficiency expectations without sacrificing quality
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with advisors and parts to keep promise times accurate
  • Follow proper warranty and repair documentation so the story line supports the work
  • Road-test to verify both the concern and the repair before the vehicle is returned
  • Keep your bay, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and well maintained

The Standard We Hold

We set a high bar at Grubbs. In this role, success means consistently delivering on the following:

  • Accurate diagnosis and quality repairs - a low comeback rate
  • Strong, consistent flag-hour production and proficiency
  • Complete, honest multi-point inspections on every vehicle
  • Clear communication that keeps promise times accurate
  • Continuous skill growth through training and certification

What We're Looking For

  • Automotive repair experience required
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
  • ASE and/or manufacturer certifications a plus
  • Own a set of tools
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Why Grubbs?

  • Steady, high volume of work - we keep our techs busy
  • Paid training and manufacturer certification support
  • Clear path to master technician
  • Well-equipped, professional shop
  • Family-owned, people-first culture - you're not a number here
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off
  • Employee vehicle purchase program

If you work with urgency, take pride in doing things right, and want to build a career in the automotive industry with a team that has your back, we want to hear from you. Apply now and a member of our team will be in touch promptly.
