Responsibilities
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Communicate safety and environmental compliance messages to all levels, providing technical support to front-line leadership and employees
- Assist in performing program audits to enhance safety and environmental performance through collaborative efforts
- Investigate incidents and non-compliance events, compile accident data and support corrective action initiatives
- Collect and submit data to meet environmental permit and reporting requirements, liaising with regulatory agencies as necessary
- Participate in or facilitate safety committee meetings and coordinate safety and environmental awareness events
- Identify operational risks and propose preventive measures to control or eliminate occupational disease and injury
- Maintain safety and environmental records, ensuring adherence to regulations and supporting program deployment
Working Conditions
- Office environment with some field work
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, terrain and at any time of day or night
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
Experience
- 2+ years of safety, environmental or equivalent experience
Skills
- Ability to use personal computer and software applications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of employees
- Ability to determine incident root causes and recommend preventive actions
- Basic knowledge of Spectrum products and services
- Basic knowledge of fire prevention programs
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations
- Basic understanding of safety and environmental program management methods
- Basic knowledge of safety and environmental auditing, incident investigation and reporting
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of Field Operations and Field Engineering job duties
Licenses
- Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
Preferred Qualifications
Education
- Associate's degree in safety, health, environmental or related field or equivalent experience
- Industry and vendor specific certifications and training recommended (OSHA 30 General Industry or Construction, Associate Environmental Professional)
Experience
- 2+ years of industry experience
Skills
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations
- First aid/CPR/AED facilitator certification
