Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply mechanical engineering principles and industry best practices in the design and analysis of HVAC and piping systems.
  • Prepare detailed HVAC and piping system designs, including load calculations, duct sizing, and piping sizing calculations.
  • Develop engineering deliverables such as drawings, specifications, calculations, and design reports.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including Architectural, Structural, Civil, and Electrical disciplines, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Communicate design requirements and technical guidance effectively to drafting and design support staff.Utilize engineering software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant design tools for project development.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable local codes, standards, client requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Participate in client meetings to understand project requirements, provide design updates, and support client satisfaction.
  • Maintain project documentation and organized design records throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track assigned tasks and communicate project progress, challenges, and technical concerns to project leads or supervisors.
  • Exercise sound engineering judgment while working under the guidance of senior engineers on complex or unfamiliar assignments.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, codes, and standards through continuous professional development.

Scope & Experience Level

  • Independently execute routine to moderately complex HVAC and piping design assignments.
  • Collaborate effectively within project teams and contribute to the successful delivery of multiple projects.
  • Receive guidance on complex technical issues while demonstrating increasing responsibility and ownership of assigned work.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring

  • Full-time bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited University.
  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in designing large manufacturing facilities.
  • Experience in conducting calculations of heating & cooling loads or energy requirements for a building using HAP/TRACE software.
  • Experience in creating duct layouts, pipe layouts, mechanical rooms & sections, air risers, water risers, and refrigerant risers, as well as checking other details and creating equipment schedules, creating plan notes, controls by using Revit/AutoCAD.
  • Experience in coordinating HVAC design model with other disciplines like, Architectural, Plumbing, Electrical, Structural using Revit/Navis Software’s.
  • Knowledge of international Building/construction codes, standards and regulations. (preferably USA codes).
  • Must be able to meet delivery schedules and budgets on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Must have excellent english written and verbal communication skills.
  • Should be flexible to work in the evening hours to maintain the communication with the USA teams.
  • Willing to advance in career by taking increased responsibilities on projects and organization.
