Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: Days Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Location: South Kansas City Surgical Center- Overland Park, KS NO WEEKENDS and NO ON-CALL!!!

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):
- Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure proper sterilization of instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs
- Perform accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments pre- and post-procedure
- Support patient positioning and surgical site preparation (draping)
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and OR team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures
Qualifications
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
- Graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 3 years' experience (surgical setting preferred).
- Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties (i.e., GYN, General, and Plastics) is preferred.
- Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., Ortho, Neuro, ENT, Uro, etc.) preferred.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain it.
