As a Security Officer Driver Patrol in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer at a dynamic higher education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical calls, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken according to site expectations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and report concerns.
• Monitor access points, check credentials when required, and assist with visitor management, after-hours entry, and/or building access control procedures.
• Support a professional campus environment by reporting maintenance issues, policy violations, and/or hazards, and communicating with supervisors or local responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
