As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic educational location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with campus personnel and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe campus locations for security-related concerns, assisting with authorized entry procedures, visitor directions, and policy-related questions.
• Document incidents, daily activities, and security-related observations in written reports and/or electronic systems in accordance with site expectations.

Minimum Requirements

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
