Associate Advocate – Corporate, Commercial & Conveyancing

Salary: KES 75,000 Gross per Month Application Deadline: Monday, 13th July 2026

About the Role

Our client is seeking to recruit an Associate Advocate to join its Corporate, Commercial & Conveyancing Department . The successful candidate will support the team in advising clients, managing transactions, preparing legal documentation, and delivering high-quality legal services across the firm's corporate, commercial, and conveyancing practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in corporate, commercial, and conveyancing transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal agreements and related documentation.
  • Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions where required.
  • Support transaction execution, due diligence exercises, and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Manage client files and ensure timely delivery of assignments.
  • Attend to client instructions and maintain professional client relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality legal services.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives where applicable.
  • Undertake any other duties assigned within the Corporate, Commercial & Conveyancing Department.

Qualifications, Experience & Competencies

  • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practising certificate.
  • 6–24 months Post-Qualification Experience .
  • Prior experience working in a law firm is mandatory.
  • Minimum academic performance of B+ (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrable interest and practical exposure in Corporate, Commercial & Conveyancing work.
  • Exposure to business development will be an added advantage.
  • Strong drafting, legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting corporate and commercial transactions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Professionalism, integrity, accountability, and sound judgment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative working style and sound emotional intelligence.
  • Evidence of increasing responsibility, ownership of deliverables, and meaningful client exposure.
