Senior Manager Financial Processes (m/w/d)
Job description
- Coordinate and support monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities in close collaboration with the RTL Shared Service Center.
- Review accounting records, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
- Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and annual audits across multiple legal entities.
- Act as a key contact for auditors, tax advisors and internal stakeholders on accounting and financial process topics.
- Drive continuous improvement of finance and accounting processes, ensuring efficient and scalable workflows.
- Support the implementation and optimization of internal controls and governance standards.
- Monitor and analyse financial data, identifying risks, inconsistencies and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Controlling, HR, Legal and operational teams on finance-related matters.
- Support finance transformation initiatives and contribute to process automation projects.
- Work with SAP S/4HANA and other finance systems to improve data quality, reporting and operational efficiency.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a comparable qualification.
- 3–7 years of professional experience in accounting, audit, finance operations or financial process management.
- Good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
- Experience supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Experience working with auditors and preparing audit documentation.
- Strong analytical skills and a structured, detail-oriented working style.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken).
- Practical experience using AI tools to improve productivity, reporting or finance processes.
