Scaffolder
Job description
In order to work in Ireland a non-EEA National, unless they are exempted, must hold a valid employment permit. Please review the Eligibility and requirements for an employment permit if you are unsure of your eligibility to apply for this vacancy. Their duties and responsibilities include:
- Loading, unloading and organising scaffolding materials.
- Erecting, altering and dismantling scaffolding systems safely and efficiently.
- Inspecting scaffolding structures to ensure they meet safety regulations.
- Ring-lock experience.
- Working from technical drawings and site instructions.
- Prepare site to a high standard
- Conduct daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance, reporting any defects or issues.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations always.
- Understand and be competent in emergency procedures and protocol.
- Work closely with management and the site team to meet production targets.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as industry best practice.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
- Communicate with site supervisors and project managers regarding work progress, issues, and any necessary changes to plans or schedules Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience working as a scaffolder on construction sites, minimum 3 years.
- Diploma/Certification as a Scaffolder
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification
- Full driving licence (desirable but not essential)
