Automotive Infotainment Defect Management and Reporting Engineer
Experience: 2-5 years | Location: Onsite - Czech Republic | Positions: 2
Languages: English - mandatory; Czech - mandatory; German - optional
Role Summary
Own defect intake, triage and fix verification, and produce cycle reporting and statistics for the infotainment test program.
Key Responsibilities
● Create and manage defect tickets, including alignment with function owners before ticket creation.
● Verify fixes within the agreed turnaround after ticket assignment.
● Filter duplicate and irrelevant defects and ensure formal ticket quality.
● Prepare cycle reports covering statistics, top defects, blockers and escalations.
● Track defect occurrence and resolution across milestones and software versions.
Work Experience
Required Skills
● Defect lifecycle management in automotive electronics or embedded software.
● Clear technical communication with development and function-owner stakeholders.
● Reporting and data skills (Power BI, spreadsheets).
● Tools and systems: JIRA, Codebeamer, Confluence, SharePoint and Power BI; group defect tracking system accessed through the customer portal.
Good to Have
● Trace and log analysis experience.
● Scripting for reporting automation (Python).
Education
Bachelor's in engineering, computer science or a related technical field.
