Job Description Summary

Purpose: Answers telephone calls and email inquiries regarding sales orders; may serve as a point of escalation for more complex or unique inquiries.Researches and provides information regarding parts availability, tracking shipping information, and freight costs in response to inquiries.Develops quotes based on identified customer needs.Assesses customer requests and assists with expediting orders as needed.

Contributions: This role plays a vital role in contributing to the overall success of the branch/location by providing direct support to the Account and/or Sales Managers to help the location meet established sales targets.

Dimensions: Typically operates on a local level.Does not have individual sales quota. Success is tied to the performance of the branch/locationWorks under moderate supervision of project managers to ensure project tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Communications: Explains to customers on how a product operates or directs them to the appropriate personnelContacts customers when necessary to follow-up on specific order situations (e.g., delays and backorders).
