Tell me about this job. BAE Systems is seeking a skilled Senior Professional Support staff member to support the ICBM Systems Directorate as a Protocol and Awards program Manager. Key aspects of this job will be providing seemless administrative, protocol, and operational support to senior leadership, including the Program Executive Office (PEO), Director of Staff (DS), and the Chief of the Program Execution Group (PEG) and the Director’s Action Group (DAG). This position serves and the linchpin for Distinguished Visitor (DV) operations, major leadership engagements, execution of ceremonies, and the fair, efficient execution of the organizational awards program. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and well-versed in military customs and courtesies.

In this position, you will provide direct support to a national security-critical weapon system throughout engineering development, deployment, and sustainment. You will help shape the quality and performance of program management products from across the ICBM Systems Directorate and associated functional areas, and you will help educate and equip the government customer to acquire, operate, and maintain an entire weapon system-of-systems. You will become a trusted mission partner to the innovative, digital engineering-driven Air Force organization that is responsible to design, build, test, transition, and sustain the world’s safest, most secure, and effective land-based nuclear deterrent, on-schedule. Pursuant to Government contract, this position requires US Citizenship status. This position is only located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, due to the special-access classified working environment and is not conducive to remote schedules.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills •

4+ years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree; 2+ years with a master’s degree

Strong organizational skills (understand project requirements, coordinate resources, and direct projects)

Proficiency in communicating effectively across a broad spectrum of stakeholders and communication platforms

Time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks to completion by suspense dates

Planning skills in order to plan and coordinate events while maintaining the appropriate military customs and courtesies.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint

Exceptional customer relations and engagement skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills •

Experience supporting military or industry executive-level leaders (e.g. executive officer, CAG/DAG action officer, MAJCOM action officer)

Experience and familiarity with Military Customs and Courtesies

Ability to work with others and create relationships across organizations to drive results

Ability to support various process improvement and solution implementation projects

Experience is managing communications to senior military leaders

Understanding of distinguished visitor operations on military installations

Ability to multi-task, handing several events and taskers at the same time

Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Ability to travel (10% of the time)

ICBM experience a plus

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $88189 - $149922

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
