About The Role

Salary: £38,220 - £40,777 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours of work: Full time, 35 hours per week

Location: Service Headquarters, Bridle Road, Bootle, Merseyside, L30 4YD

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service is a fast paced and dynamic organisation with high expectations.

We are looking to recruit a Data & Technology Project Manager & Business Analyst to join our Applications and Technology Team. This position certainly has a lot of variety to it and whilst we are not expecting you to undertake all the duties and responsibilities simultaneously, some of the key ones are:

  • Lead on projects and develop full-scale supporting project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Research and make recommendations on bought-in software applications and services in support of procurement.
  • Facilitate the selection and procurement process of any commercial off the shelf applications and consultancy.
  • Provide support to ensure that any new application software integration into the organisation meets functional user requirements, system compliance and interface specifications.

You should also possess substantial experience in ICT lifecycle application management and experience of implementing a system that delivers daily business critical information to an organisation.

F urthermore, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the organisation, ensuring implementation governance measures are met.
