Assistant Manager

Position Overview: The Assistant Manager at Piedmont Lube Centers, LLC plays a key leadership role by supporting the Store Manager in driving performance, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining a positive and productive team environment. This individual assists with overseeing daily store operations, ensuring company policies and procedures are followed, and helping the store operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate leads by example, demonstrates integrity, and helps deliver outstanding results in a fast-paced retail automotive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Support the Store Manager in leading daily store operations and achieving business goals.
  • Lead by example and promote a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Help monitor daily performance and support the team in meeting company standards.
  • Lead the store in the absence of the Store Manager.

Customer Service

  • Ensure every customer receives fast, friendly, and professional service.
  • Help resolve customer concerns and support a positive customer experience.

Operations Management

  • Help maintain store cleanliness, equipment, and overall presentation.
  • Ensure company policies, safety procedures, and operating standards are followed.
  • Coordinate daily workflow to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Assist with opening and closing the store as needed.

Inventory & Store Support

  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with placing supply orders.
  • Assist with cash handling, daily paperwork, and end-of-day procedures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance services and support the team as business needs require.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of leadership experience in retail, service, or automotive preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lead a team and solve operational challenges
  • Comfortable working in shop environments and outdoor conditions
  • Basic computer and cash handling skills
  • Weekend availability required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
