Job Summary: Provides group instruction in the sport of ice skating to a variety of ages and abilities.

Essential Job Functions: Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor does the list include all tasks which may be expected to be completed. -Enforces ice skating rules and regulations necessary for the safety of skating participants. -Accurately judges and placement of students for skate classes. -Reports all exceptional occurrences to the supervisor. -Attends scheduled Group Instructor's Staff meetings and training sessions. -Required to maintain necessary logs and records relating to the teaching of Ice Skating. -Prepares and signs all skating class certificates. -Able to demonstrate all necessary skating moves as it pertains to group instruction. -Performs any other related or similar duties as assigned. -Abide by the skate instructor's rules of conduct. -Cleans and maintains Skate Instructor's locker room.

Supervision Received: Works under the direct supervision of the Ice Skating Coordinator.

Minimum Qualification / Job Standards: -Must be at least 16 years of age. -Must attain a Professional First Aid and Professional CPR certificate within the first 6 months of employment. -Must attain the Learn to Skate USA certification, Safeskate/Safesport and necessary memberships within the first 6 months of employment. -Has ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, subordinates and the general public. -Effective communication skills with all ages. -Good physical condition. -Stooping, bending and lifting up to forty pounds required. -Advance skating ability required.
