ESG Manager, Corp Real Estate Portfolio
Job description
The ESG Manager, Corporate Real Estate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and reporting on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies within the corporate real estate portfolio. This role will ensure that our real estate operations, workplaces, and facilities align with enterprise ESG commitments, including carbon reduction, sustainable building practices, diversity and inclusion in supplier networks, and governance reporting.
The successful candidate will partner across Corporate Real Estate, Sustainability, Finance, HR, and Procurement to ensure that our real estate portfolio actively advances the company’s ESG goals while driving measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
- ESG Strategy & Implementation
- Develop and execute ESG programs for corporate real estate, aligned with enterprise sustainability and governance goals.
- Establish targets for energy, water, and waste reduction across the portfolio.
- Drive initiatives to achieve carbon neutrality and improve overall workplace sustainability.
- Data Management & Reporting
- Oversee ESG data collection and reporting for corporate real estate (GHG emissions, energy intensity, LEED/WELL certifications, etc.).
- Ensure accuracy and transparency of data used in enterprise ESG disclosures, including CDP, GRESB, SASB, and other frameworks.
- Develop dashboards and KPIs to track progress against sustainability goals.
- Vendor & Partner Engagement
- Collaborate with landlords, service providers, and design/construction teams to integrate ESG principles into new projects and existing operations.
- Promote supplier diversity initiatives and sustainable procurement practices.
- Workplace & Employee Engagement
- Partner with HR and Communications to drive employee engagement around sustainable workplace behaviors.
- Support programs that enhance employee well-being (WELL, Fitwel, or similar standards).
- Governance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with ESG-related regulations, certifications, and internal governance policies.
- Advise on ESG risks and opportunities within the real estate portfolio.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Real Estate, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in sustainability, ESG, or corporate real estate, with proven project leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks (CDP, GRESB, SASB, GRI, TCFD).
- Experience managing data collection and reporting tools for sustainability/ESG metrics.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence across business units and engage executives with data-driven insights.
- Must be open to working fixed night shifts and 3 days onsite per week.
Preferred Skills
- Professional accreditation (LEED AP, WELL AP, Fitwel Ambassador, ISSP, or similar).
- Experience with energy management, renewable energy procurement, or carbon accounting.
- Familiarity with workplace wellness programs and green building certifications.
- Knowledge of supplier diversity and governance best practices.
- Experience working within a global real estate portfolio.
