As an Identity and Access Management Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding sensitive data and managing user identities within our Cybersecurity practice. You will focus on designing and implementing strategies to confirm secure and efficient access to systems and data for both employees and clients. As a Manager, you will lead teams and manage client accounts, focusing on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff. You are accountable for project success and maintaining standards. Enhancing your leadership style, you motivate, develop, and inspire others to deliver quality. You are responsible for coaching, leveraging team members' unique strengths, and managing performance to deliver on client expectations. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center Manila, you will take ownership of projects, confirming their successful planning, budgeting, execution, and completion. You will also address conflicts or issues, engaging in conversations with clients, team members, and other stakeholders, escalating where appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing secure identity and access management strategies to protect sensitive information
- Managing and optimizing access control systems, including Azure Active Directory and CyberArk Management
- Leading teams in the development and execution of identity verification and authorization management systems
- Analyzing system interactions to identify vulnerabilities and enhance security measures
- Overseeing the deployment of federated identity management and identity governance frameworks
- Collaborating with client teams to address cybersecurity challenges and develop proactive solutions
- Mentoring team members to leverage their strengths and improve performance in client engagements
- Encouraging innovation and embracing technology to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction
- Reviewing and refining technical documentation to support identity and access management initiatives
- Addressing conflicts and engaging in critical conversations with stakeholders to resolve issues effectively
- Leading and mentoring IAM engineering teams to deliver secure identity solutions across client environments, translating architecture and requirements into high-quality, supportable implementations.
- Overseeing authentication, authorisation, and access management capabilities, including SSO, MFA, federation, privileged access, identity governance, and integrations using standards like OAuth, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, and LDAP.
- Managing IAM platform delivery and operations by driving automation, DevOps, incident resolution, technical governance, documentation, and collaboration with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 7 to 11 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
- 10+ years of experience in IAM, cybersecurity, platform/infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, software engineering, or related technical domains, with a strong background leading technical delivery teams.
- Deep hands-on knowledge of IAM capabilities including authentication, authorisation, federation, SSO, MFA, privileged access, identity governance, and modern identity standards such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, LDAP, Kerberos, JWT, and REST APIs.
- Strong operational, communication, and problem-solving skills, including experience with ITIL-based processes, root cause analysis, and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
What Sets You Apart
- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Computer and Information Science, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Information CyberSecurity, Information Technology, Management Information Systems
- At least one of the following: One or more certifications aligned to identity governance and access management, including CISSP, CIAM, Microsoft Identity, SailPoint, or equivalent IAM credentials
- Demonstrating proficiency in Azure Active Directory and CyberArk Management
- Utilizing analytical thinking to identify system linkages and interactions
- Embracing change and innovation in cybersecurity practices
- Developing skills in IT Risk Management and IT Governance
- Mentoring others in Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategies
- Experience with at least one leading IAM, cloud identity, governance, or privileged access platform such as Okta, Ping Identity, ForgeRock, Microsoft Entra ID, SailPoint, Saviynt, CyberArk, or similar.
- Strong hands-on experience integrating IAM and security platforms with applications, APIs, cloud services, SaaS platforms, and backend systems, including customer identity, workforce identity, API security, and fine-grained authorisation models.
- Knowledge of advanced identity and security practices, including OAuth/OIDC advanced flows, policy-based and entitlement-based access, and support for broader initiatives such as zero trust, cloud migration, digital transformation, and application modernisation.
