Job description

Exercise Physiologist - Aged Care & NDIS Telehealth & Community

($70 - $90 per hour, dependent on experience. Rates are inclusive of GST)

Let’s be honest - you didn’t choose this profession to spend your days drowning in admin, rushing through appointments, or feeling boxed into rigid systems.

You chose it because movement changes lives.

Because helping someone walk further, feel stronger, regain confidence, reduce pain, or participate more fully in life actually matters.

That’s where CARED comes in.

About CARED (aka the future of care)

CARED is an innovative health tech ecosystem helping people take control of their health - right now. We connect high-quality practitioners with Aged Care and NDIS participants in real time, matching the right practitioner to the right person, every time.

No cookie-cutter care. No mismatched caseloads. Just thoughtful, human-centred support - powered by smart tech.

We’re growing fast, doing things differently, and building a community of practitioners who want flexibility without compromising quality.

About the role (where your magic comes in)

We’re looking for experienced Exercise Physiologists who bring both clinical expertise and genuine heart.

These are hybrid roles - combine telehealth from your home (or private professional space) with community-based, face-to-face support where needed.

You’ll work with a diverse and meaningful caseload, including:

Neurological conditions (MS, Parkinson’s, stroke, ABI)

Autism and ADHD

Psychosocial, intellectual and physical disabilities

Chronic pain and fatigue conditions

Aged Care, Paediatric and adult participants across different life stages

Functional capacity building and long-term health management

Your work may include

Functional Exercise & Capacity Building

Delivering individualised exercise interventions aligned with participant goals

Supporting strength, balance, coordination, mobility and endurance

Falls prevention and functional movement programs

Developing sustainable movement strategies for everyday life

Chronic Condition Management

Supporting participants with neurological, musculoskeletal and chronic health conditions

Improving physical function, independence and community participation

Fatigue and pain management strategies

Promoting long-term physical wellbeing and self-management

Education & Collaborative Support

Educating participants, families and support networks

Collaborating with allied health teams and support coordinators

Providing clear clinical recommendations and progress updates

Contributing to participant goal outcomes within the NDIS framework

We receive referrals for assessments, reports, and ongoing intervention, and we take the time to match you with clients aligned to your experience, interests and preferred demographics.

You’ll never feel like you’re working alone - ongoing client support and a collaborative practitioner community are part of the deal.

Why you’ll love working with us

Flexible hours - you choose when and how much you work

Work from home and community-based sessions

Innovative health tech environment (goodbye admin overload)

Thoughtfully matched clients

Work as little or as much as you want

Work from anywhere in Australia

Meaningful, values-driven work that actually makes an impact

About you (aka our kind of human)

You’re confident, compassionate, and clinically sharp. You value autonomy but love being part of something bigger.

You’ll bring

An undergraduate degree, ideally in clinical exercise physiology or exercise and sports sciences

ESSA accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP)

Ideally, at least 1 year of professional experience

Experience working with Aged Care and NDIS participants / people with disability

Experience providing telehealth services

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

And, as an Independent Contractor with CARED, you’ll need

A private, professional workspace with reliable internet, camera & mic for telehealth work

Australian Business Number - ABN

Appropriate business insurances (Professional Indemnity - PI, and Public Liability - PL)

This is an independent contractor opportunity , not a salaried or full-time employment position.

Our role is to connect practitioners with clients and participants who require allied health services. We provide referrals that can help you grow and supplement your existing private practice, rather than guaranteeing a fixed caseload or income.

This opportunity is best suited to practitioners seeking flexible work that complements an existing private practice, business, or employment arrangement, while maintaining full control over their schedule, workload, and service delivery.

The bottom line

At CARED, we don’t believe flexibility should come at the cost of clinical integrity - or vice versa.

We believe you can

Do work that matters

Be supported, trusted, and valued

And still have a life outside your calendar

If you’re ready to work in a way that feels aligned, modern, and genuinely impactful - we’d love to meet you.
