Job description

THIS ROLE:

A mid-level accounting position responsible for delivering comprehensive fund accounting services with minimal supervision. This role handles both low and medium complexity funds, focusing on core accounting processes and standard cluster communications. The position requires independent execution of established procedures while maintaining quality and timeliness standards. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:  

  • You’ll prepare financial statements, NAV reports, and other deliverables in accordance with prescribed guidelines, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established standards and detailed checklists.
  • You’ll apply relevant accounting standards and requirements, maintain accurate fund books and records, perform daily bookkeeping, and prepare periodic financial reports.
  • You’ll process routine capital calls, distributions, and investor notices while adhering to quality control procedures and risk management protocols.
  • You’ll build knowledge of client-specific requirements and industry practices, identify and escalate potential operational risks, and conduct self-reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
  • You’ll support operational excellence by documenting and following standard operating procedures, tracking work through timesheets, participating in training and process improvement initiatives, and performing other duties as required by the business.

ABOUT YOU:

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with at least 1.5 years of experience in fund accounting, financial reporting, or a similar role.
  • You have a strong understanding of accounting principles and fund structures, with proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • You can independently handle moderately complex financial data and execute detailed accounting processes while maintaining accuracy and high-quality deliverables.
  • You possess excellent attention to detail, strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify operational risks and drive process improvements.
  • You are a proactive, adaptable, and collaborative professional with strong communication skills, a solid work ethic, and a commitment to delivering accurate, timely results while fostering teamwork and knowledge sharing.
